  • Information About CDC COVID-19 Testing

The CDC has put forth regulations that went into effect on January 26, 2021 that require each traveler who enters the United States provide a negative antigen COVID test. Similarly, Canada is also requiring passengers to provide a negative PCR test to enter Canada. Air passengers must take a COVID-19 test within the three days prior to their flight to return to the United States. Proof of the COVID test must be shown in electronic documentation or a written result of the laboratory test. Passengers will need to show these at the airport at check in. If any person contracted COVID while on vacation, then recovered, they must also provide a negative COVID test as well. All airlines are enforcing the regulations and all passengers must provide a negative COVID test to board the airplane. If any passenger doesn’t provide the negative COVID test, they will not be allowed to board the airplane. You should make sure you schedule your COVID test in advance to avoid travel delays.

  • COVID Testing

As of now, Mexico isn’t requiring people to provide a COVID test before entering their country, but the CDC is recommending that all travelers take the COVID test before traveling. The CDC is also asking all travelers to take an additional Coronavirus test when they arrive back home, and to refrain from any outings for a week afterwards. Doing this will help in transmitting the virus to other people. The COVID-19 test prior to departing on vacation will assist in knowing which travelers are infected with the virus before anyone boards the plane. That way, timeshare owners and other vacationers are able to safely travel without putting themselves or others at risk.
