Many people are wondering if travel to Mexico is safe yet. I’ve gathered information from the Villa Group Resorts that have recently reopened their resorts in some of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico. According to the Villa Group, the staff diligently cleaned and prepared to reopen guests back to their resorts for a safe vacation. Below has more information on what the resorts has done in terms of health and safety policies to protect guests and staff members.
Safe to Travel to Mexico
Villa Group Resorts has prepared for the return of guests by implementing new policies to keep everyone safe. They have taken advice from infectious disease specialists and obtained certification from PREVERISK which specializes in preventative protocols. More than ever, The Villa Group is committed to upholding the highest standards of disinfection, hygiene, and sanitation at their resorts. Also, they have developed an integrated Health and Hygiene Program based on instructions from government and health organizations. The health and safety of the entire Villa Group family is their number one priority.
Updated Health and Safety Standards
Many new standards of cleanliness and sanitation will be in place for your next vacation to Mexico. For example, guests and vacation club members arriving to Villa Group Resorts can expect the following:
- Suitcase sanitization with sanitizing products.
- Security seals that ensure no one has entered the room/suite after it was cleaned and disinfected.
- Thermometers will be used at all access points throughout the resort to read and monitor the temperatures of guests and staff in a non-invasive manner.
Likewise, all high-touch surfaces in common areas will be continuously treated with hospital-grade disinfectants and certified sanitation products. Also, sanitizing stations have been placed at strategic points throughout the resorts including the front desk, restaurant entrances, and in all public areas. A special team of sanitization specialists has been trained to ensure that staff members and guests adhere to the new health and sanitation protocols. Every room will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized using hospital-grade disinfectants between each guest’s stay. In addition, all paper amenities, pens, and magazines have been removed from rooms until further notice. The updated hygiene protocols are in place to better protect their guests and staff members, too.
Social Distancing Regulations
Studies have shown that social distancing requirements help reduce the transmission of viruses and other illnesses. As a result, Villa Group Resorts has made changes to allow for enough space between one another. For example, furniture in common areas and restaurants have been rearranged to allow for at least 2 meters between guests. At the pools, lounge chairs have been spaced at least 6 feet apart as well. In the gym, access will be limited to guests with a reservation and stricter sanitation measures will be utilized.
Additional Updates
Employees in the food and beverage departments have been highly trained on proper handling and service of food and beverage items. Modifications to in-room dining and buffet-style services are underway as well to minimize direct contact between guests and staff. In addition, valet parking and direct meal preparation has been suspended temporarily. In the event that a suspected case of COVID-19 is found, an onsite doctor and 24-hour medical service is available. They also have organized a team to oversee any potential cases including each resort’s General Manager and a licensed physician.
Villa Group Resorts is showing they are ready to keep providing the great service and hospitality that they are known for, all while creating a safe and secure environment, too.
